"My work should raise questions. Questions about ourselves, daily life and/or the world we are living in.

It feels alienating to the beholder but is, on the other hand, aesthetically pleasant to look at.

This discrepancy between question, discomfort and beauty enables the beholder to think different about the way we perceive reality.

Most often I use materials with special qualities. These qualities, shape, fragrance, sound, colour, stiff or flexible etc., make an essential part of my work. Sometimes there is already an idea at the start but more often it pops up while working with these materials. The result is surprising.

At the moment I am fascinated by the phenomenon "Time". Not only the chronological time but also our inner time. What would we be without it and how do we experience this "Time" as a child or grown up person? We are surrounded by it but are not able to touch, smell, taste, hear or see it.

He is pushing us forward, never backwards!
